HomeGrown: The Legacy of 4-H in Goleta

April 19, 2015 - January 31, 2016

Goleta Valley Historical Society presents their latest exhibition, “HomeGrown: the Legacy of 4-H in Goleta” at Rancho La Patera & Stow House. From gardening to growing livestock, and from home economics to fashion design, our local 4-H program has made a significant impact on the lives and legacy in the Goodland.

The exhibit, which includes photos, projects, art and more, brings light upon the youth and leaders who’ve embraced the 4-H program over the years.

As the youth development program of the Cooperative Extension System of land-grant universities, 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization, empowering six million young people throughout the United States. Our local Goleta 4-H program began in the 1920s and continues today.

Exhibit sponsored by:
Alice Tweed Tuohy Foundation
Williams-Corbett Foundation
And Robin & Reid Cederlof

Visit on Saturdays and Sundays 1-4pm and by appointment.
